Anne Halpenny, October, NaBloPoMo

Happy Veteran's Day!

My goal is for all you readers of blogs or readers of books. I had to get a blog for school but didn't know quite what to do with it. I finally decided to make it a Reader's Advisory blog. Reader's advisory is a major part of librarianship, especially in the children's department, and I happen to be very bad at it. I figured this would be a way to practice AND answer a frequent question from friends and relations as to what I recommend to read.

I know this is suppose to be the goal I accomplished in October buuuuut, oh well. NaBloPoMo is National Blog Posting Month, a.k.a. November. Bloggers are suppose to blog once a day for the whole month. (Blame my sister...)

Anyway, here she be!

Good Reading to you!
(...Hope you like picture books...)

This is awesome. First to be able to blog everyday is impressive. I like the idea too. There are too many boring predictables out there; recommendations are awesome.

I love picture books! I look forward to scrolling through your recommendations, particularly as I choose books for a story time I do at the library. Keep the ideas coming!

I love picture books and I love your blog! I admit I read it frequently but rarely comment. So in honor of NaBloPoMo I just took the time to comment on a couple of my favorite of your recent posts, such cute books! I can't wait to read them with my preschoolers.

Also, I hope you don't hate me for spilling the beans in the blog, but I think all the readers will be thrilled at your big news! I have to say CONGRATULATIONS one more time...Anne got engaged last night!!
